- Wrong message. In general USR modems are fine, and the Sportster is
- very cost effective. *However*, even if 95% of the Sportster owners
- are happy, if 99% of the people with problems are unhappy with USR
- *support*, you see a lot of complaints here.

- My reading is that only a few of us are unhappy with the modems,
- but all of us are unhappy with the support. I will never buy or
- recommend a Sportster again, but I do use a small number of
- Couriers when they are the best solution. For low price modems I'm
- still looking, and I have Zoom and Cardinal units in place.
